Terms of Sale & Use
In Case of Contact · Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms cover buying and using the In Case of Contact handbook. Please read them before you buy. If you do not agree, do not buy.
1. Who we are
In Case of Contact is published by HIVEMIND LLC, an Arizona limited liability company based in the United States (“we”, “us”). Contact: hivehq.mind@gmail.com.
2. What you are buying
You are buying a license to read the In Case of Contact handbook, a digital reference work available as a web app, for your own personal use. It is a digital product. Nothing is shipped.
The handbook documents government records, testimony, reported claims, historical material, religious texts, interpretations, skeptical explanations and disputed claims. See the Disclaimer. Listing a claim is not our statement that it is true.
3. Price, payment and where we sell
The price is shown in US dollars at checkout: $9.99, one time. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Applicable sales tax, if any, is shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
United States only. The handbook is currently sold to buyers in the United States only. If the billing address you give at checkout is outside the United States, we will refund your payment in full and will not open access.
4. Getting access
After payment you are signed in on the confirmation page, and we email a sign-in link to the address you gave at checkout. The link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Keep it private: it is how we know the person opening the handbook is you. Once you sign in, your device stays signed in for up to 30 days. If you lose access, request a new link from the sign-in page or at hivehq.mind@gmail.com.
Offline use works on a device only after you have opened the handbook once on that device while online, and it can stop working if you clear your browser’s stored data. You can sign in again to restore it. While a device is online, the handbook checks that your purchase is still valid; if it has been refunded, access ends on that device the next time it connects.
5. Updates
Your purchase includes access to the handbook and to the updates we choose to publish to it, for as long as we continue to publish and host it. We may add, correct, reorganize or remove content at any time, including to fix errors or remove material we can no longer stand behind.
We do not promise any update schedule, any particular new content, future editions, or separate products. New editions or separate products may be sold separately.
If we decide to stop publishing the handbook, we will email the address on your order with reasonable notice where that is practical.
6. Refunds
You can ask for a refund within 14 days of purchase, for any reason. See the Refund Policy.
7. Your license and what you may not do
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to read the handbook for your own use. You may not copy, resell, republish or share the handbook or your sign-in link, scrape or bulk-download it, or use it to build a competing product. Short quotations with credit are fine under the usual rules of fair use. The handbook’s text, organization, labels and original illustrations belong to us or are used with permission. Public-domain and third-party material keeps its own status; see Credits & licenses.
8. What the handbook is not
The handbook is for information and reading. It is not government, scientific, legal, medical, safety or financial advice. Buying or reading it does not make you safer or better prepared, and it does not guarantee any outcome, including contact, disclosure, or any real-world event. We make no promise that any claim in it is true, and we do not say that extraterrestrial or non-human explanations for UAP are established fact. Where we say something is “verified”, the label tells you what was checked and how far.
9. Third-party material and links
The handbook cites and links to sources we do not control. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
10. AI-assisted work
Research, drafting and organization of the handbook used AI-assisted tools. Each claim carries a class and an evidence status so you can see how far checking went. Some illustrations are drawn or computer-generated reconstructions and are labeled as such; they are not evidence. Errors are possible. To report one, use Corrections.
11. Warranty disclaimer
The handbook is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy or completeness of the content.
12. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim related to the handbook is limited to the amount you paid us for it, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable US federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pinal County, Arizona, unless the law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Please contact us first at hivehq.mind@gmail.com; most problems can be fixed quickly.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you buy applies to that purchase. If we change them in a way that materially reduces what you bought, we will tell you by email.
